Marty Decker, Karen Sundberg and FRG's team of experienced wilderness fly fishing guides bring Alaskan hospitality and a fun pioneering spirit to their guided Alaska Float Fishing Trips.

Marty was raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. In the early 1970's he learned his early wilderness craft, fish finding abilities and river navigation skills from Alaska pioneer prospector Al Withrow. Since that time Marty has followed his personal passion for wilderness river and mountain adventure. His upbeat attitude, frankness and outgoing nature set the tone for the Alaska fly fishing expeditions offered by Frontier River Guides.

Karen grew up in Anchorage and has a wide range of interests which add a special touch to FRG's guided Alaska fly fishing trips. Operating out of Anchorage, her efficiency, logistical abilities and love of the culinary arts are reflected in the smooth flow of FRG food supplies and goods across Alaska in support of the guide teams. Meals prepared freshly by the guides are supplemented by Karen's gourmet vacuum sealed delights. Really a treat!

Both Karen and Marty are public high school educators in the winter months.
